Department for Education guidance states that all pupils of compulsory school age are entitled to a full time education.
Schools may in exceptional circumstances decide that for a short period a part-time timetable will be the best way to meet a child's needs. Arrangements must be agreed with parents/carers and have a time limit. Schools must record the sessions when the child is not in school through the agreement as an authorised absence.
To meet Ofsted requirements, schools of all types (including independent schools) must report any part-time arrangements to the LA – these pupils are recorded as Children Missing Out On Education. Schools are required to update the LA monthly on plans to return to a full time offer.
Please complete this form prior to the start of the reduced timetable.
If there is no confirmed end date then please add the review date.
Where there is no planned date identified, a review date should be set to take place with a maximum of two weeks.
On the day that the full-time timetable is resumed, or if another review date has been set, notify us at ptt@oldham.gov.uk with the actual date of return.
