Park Road in Glodwick remains closed due to ongoing works to repair an old Victorian sewer which created a sinkhole in the road.
United Utilities have informed Oldham Council that they need more time, as the repairs needed are more extensive than originally thought.
The road closure is now expected to continue until 31 July 2024. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and kindly ask residents and motorists to use alternative routes while United Utilities undertake these urgent repairs. Oldham Council is working with United Utilities to get the work completed as soon as possible.
