Oldham Energy Futures is a 2-year project which was piloted in Westwood and Sholver by Carbon Co-op between 2020 and 2022:-
The project focused on engaging local residents in the energy and climate change agendas, and worked with residents to create two Community Led Energy Plans.
The Community Led Energy Planning approach will be key to Oldham’s Net Zero transition, and the Council is hoping to secure further funding to roll out the approach to the rest of the borough as part of the Oldham Green New Deal Delivery Partnership initiative.
