The strategy sets two stretching carbon neutrality targets – for Council Buildings and Street Lighting by 2025, and for the borough as a whole by 2030, within the context of the Greater Manchester carbon neutrality target of 2038.
It also highlights the potential co-benefits of investment in greenhouse gas emissions reduction, such as jobs and training opportunities for Oldham residents and businesses in the key growth Green Technology and Services sector.
