1. Employee Assistance Programme

PAM Assist is a free and confidential life management and personal support service that is available to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Support available:

  • One-off support calls
  • Legal and debt support
  • Online and app-based wellbeing tools and resources
  • Online live chat function

You can access PAM Assist by:

  • Phone on 0800 882 4102
  • Online using the organisation code OLDHAMWELLBEING and your email address
  • App (available via your usual app stores)

Counselling support

PAM Assist offers a confidential counselling service offering support on the following:

  • Abuse
  • Addiction
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Caring for relatives
  • Divorce
  • Drug and alcohol abuse
  • Emotional support
  • Family conflict
  • Funeral arrangements
  • Infertility
  • Living with long term illness
  • Losing a loved one
  • Mental health issues
  • Miscarriage
  • Relationships
  • Retirement planning and support
  • Separation
  • Stress/anxiety
  • Support following a bereavement
  • Support following an accident
  • Telling the family
  • Terminal illness
  • Trauma care
  • Understanding the diagnosis

This list is not exclusive, and the Helpline staff can deal with other issues as required.

Registering for an online account

  • Visit the PAM Assist website
  • Click login in the top right corner
  • Click ‘sign up’ at the bottom
  • You will then be asked to type in an Organisation Code which is OLDHAMWELLBEING
  • Once you have entered the Organisation Code it will ask you if you wish to register for Oldham Council, click ‘Yes, I confirm’
  • Then enter your name, email address (personal or work) and create a secure password
  • You will then be sent an email to validate your account

Logging into PAM Assist if you already have an online account

  • Visit the PAM Assist website
  • Click login in the top right corner
  • Then simply enter your email address and your password

You can ask for PAM Assist to call you if you prefer. You can do this by logging into your online account and clicking ‘Let us contact you’ under the Talk tab.
