Long-Term Plan for Towns

In October 2023 the government awarded £20m over ten years, for the regeneration of Chadderton and the surrounding area.

This was through the Long-Term Plan for Towns initiative.

The funding will focus on the issues that matter most to local people. These include high streets, heritage, regeneration, and public safety.

A board will be set up to gather community leaders, employers, Oldham Council representatives, and the local MP.

They will create a shared vision and oversee the project funding.
