A gentle but fun way to get active and help improve your health and wellbeing.
Is it for me?
Yoga and Pilates are a gentle way to exercise. It is a low intensity workout, suitable for all shapes, sizes and abilities. Yoga can help to ease some mobility issues such as arthritis, however let your class teachers know if this is the case, they can adapt movements to suit your needs. It’s a good idea to contact your GP if you have any ongoing health problems.
There are variations in classes; some classes mix elements of Yoga and Pilates to create unique styles and others use equipment (IYENGAR® yoga) or heated rooms (Bikram, hot yoga) to enhance the experience. Try out a few different classes, and find what suits you.
