Voting in person
You can vote in person at your allocated polling station, details of which will be shown on your poll card.
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on Election Day.
Check your poll card
It is very important to check your polling card. The poll card lists:
- Which ward you are voting in
- Your polling station – check if this has changed
- Your voting preference (voting in person, postal or proxy)
- Information on Voter ID and the accepted forms of photographic ID
- How to apply for a postal or proxy vote and the legal deadlines for doing so
If you choose to vote by proxy then the person who you have trusted to vote on your behalf will have to take their own identification to be issued with a ballot paper.
