- a Learning Disability Adult Day Service
The Wellbeing Service provides an alternative to traditional daycare for people with a disability.
The focus is on providing people with opportunities to maintain and develop skills and gain the confidence needed to get the most out of life and be as independent as possible. We achiev this by offering a range of indoor and outdoor activities in a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.
Activities include:
- planting and growing organic vegetables
- beekeeping
- learning basic cooking skills
- learning basic gardening skills
- woodwork sessions
- social activities and themed events
- customer service skills
People are encouraged to take control, make choices and pursue activities they are interested in. All activities are risk-assessed and supported by experienced and trained staff.
The service is run by the MioCare Group and is located at Chadderton Hall Park.
