About the Partnership
Oldham's Community Safety Partnership is a group of organisations working together to keep communities safe.
The Oldham Community Safety Partnership has statutory duties under s6 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 to produce:
- a strategy for the reduction of crime and disorder in the area (including anti- social and other behaviour adversely affecting the local environment);
- a strategy for combatting the misuse of drugs, alcohol and other substances in the area;
- a strategy for the reduction of re-offending in the area; and a
- a strategy preventing people from becoming involved in serious violence in the area, and for reducing instances of serious violence in the area.
The CSP deals with issues such as reducing crime and anti-social behaviour, effective drug treatment, support for people experiencing domestic violence or hate crime, protecting you from fire and burglary, or nuisance neighbours.
Priorities
The CSP ensures that the Oldham Plan aligns with the Greater Manchester Police and Crime Plan key priorities which are:
- Keeping People Safe and Supporting Victims;
- Reducing Harm and Offending; and
- Strengthening Communities and Places.
