Data
Oldham Libraries have teamed up with the Good Things Foundation to provide free data packages for people who don't have reliable internet access.
To qualify for a free data package, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be from a low-income household
- And meet at least one of these conditions:
- You don't have internet access or have limited access at home
- You don’t have internet access or have limited access when you're not at home
- You can’t afford your current monthly internet contract or top-ups
You can receive free data for up to 12 months.

Devices
If you need a device, you can borrow a Chromebook from the library for three weeks at a time.
You can reserve and collect a Chomebook from your local library:
You can renew your loan if no one else has reserved a Chromebook.
The Chromebooks work with Wi-Fi connections and free public Wi-Fi can be found in all of our libraries.
Speak with staff at you local library if you would like to borrow a Chromebook, you will need to complete this loan agreement when you collect your device:
Digital Drop-in
A digital drop-in takes place at Oldham Library on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9am – 12pm.
Bring in your device or digital query for 1-1 support.
