If you find a stray dog, and it has a collar with a tag that identifies it, contact the owner as soon as you can.

How to report a stray dog

You can report a stray or lost dog to Acorn Kennels on weekdays (Monday to Friday), between 8am and 3.45pm.

Where you can take a stray dog

You can take a stray or lost dog to the following collection centre on any day of the week, between 9am and 4pm.

If you cannot keep the dog secure, please contact an animal rescue centre, who may be able to assist you.  

Should a dog be out of control or dangerous, please contact Greater Manchester Police on 101, as this is a Police matter.
