Supplementary schools offer out-of-school-hours education for children and young people.
Classes include national curriculum subjects (e.g. maths and English) and extras such as sport and music.
Classes often run in the evening or at weekends and are set up by local voluntary organisations/community groups.

Quality Framework Award
The Quality Framework Award is a voluntary quality recognition scheme that is independent, peer-assessed and self-regulated.
The award celebrates and records the achievements of supplementary schools and helps to improve quality across the sector.
