The Council is made up of 60 Councillors who meet in the Council chamber at least six times a year.
All meetings are broadcast at Live Council meetings online.
Role of the Full Council
- To approve and determine policies that set the framework in which the Council carries out its functions
- To set the Budget
- To appoint the Leader
- To elect a Chair of the Council – The Mayor
- Adopting and changing the Constitution
