Technical problems

We are currently having technical issues in our contact centre. This is causing a delay in calls being answered. We are working to fix the issue and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Full Council

The Council is made up of 60 Councillors who meet in the Council chamber at least six times a year.

All meetings are broadcast at Live Council meetings online.

Role of the Full Council

  • To approve and determine policies that set the framework in which the Council carries out its functions
  • To set the Budget
  • To appoint the Leader
  • To elect a Chair of the Council – The Mayor
  • Adopting and changing the Constitution
