Children’s and Adult’s safeguarding
Our safeguarding services will be closed from 5pm on Tuesday 24 December, until Thursday 26 December 2024.
Open hours during the Christmas period:
- Friday 27 December: 8.40am– 5pm
- Monday 30 December: 8.40am– 5pm
- Tuesday 31 December: 8.40am– 5pm

For urgent assistance outside of these hours and throughout the Christmas period, please contact the Emergency Duty Team on 0161 770 6936, available 24 hours a day.
Council Early Help Team

- Reopens Friday 27 December, Monday 30 December , Tuesday 31 December 2024
- Reopens fully at 9am on Thursday 2 January 2025
Domestic violence

Family Hubs and Children’s Centres: Christmas opening hours
General closures:
All Family Hubs and Children’s Centres will close at 4.30pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024.
They will also be closed on:
- Wednesday 25 December 2024
- Thursday 26 December 2024
- Wednesday 1 January 2025
Family Hubs sites will be open on the following dates and times:
- Friday 27 December: 9am—4.30pm
- Monday 30 December: 9am—4.30pm
- Tuesday 31 December: 9am—4.30pm
The following Family Hubs will be open on the above dates and times:
- Alexandra Family Hub
- Beever Family Hub
- Medlock Vale Family Hub
- Shaw Family Hub
- Spring Meadows Family Hub
- Stanley Road Family Hub
These Children’s Centres will close on Friday 20 December 2024, and will reopen on Monday 6 January 2025:
- Saddleworth North and South
- Coldhurst Children’s Centre
- Hollinwood Children’s Centre
Additional information for closed sites:
- Calls to closed sites will be redirected to an open Family Hub.
- Midwifery clinics will be available at the open Family Hub sites.
- Emergency contact numbers (including social care) will be displayed at closed sites.
