Referral details

Those wishing to join the club should complete and return an application form following which an informal meeteing will be held with the club leaders. (Please request forms via email or telephone) Most members are able to attend club unsupported, those with additional needs must be accompanied by their own support worker(s).

Description

The club provides a range of social and leisure activities for adults with a learning disability.  There is limited provision for wheelchair users.

The club has two qualified leaders - one a Special Needs Teacher and the other a Qualified Nurse.  The leaders are supported by some 20 volunteer helpers with a range of experience and qualifications.

The club has a very active committee which meets four times a year, also an eight strong members committee which meets regularly and passes on members' comments and wishes to the main committee meetings on a two member rotational basis.

The club and its operations are fully insured - a full range of policies in line with the recommendations of Royal Mencap are in place.

Light refreshments are provided.

All club activities are undertaken on a single floor level
