Overnight  8pm - 8am, £75 a night, I provide a snack and milk at night and breakfast in the morning

How do you identify special educational needs and disabilities?

By observing the child and talking to the parents/carers on a regular basis about their child’s progress on their learning and development.

How do you involve parents/carers?

Having regular meetings with the parents/carers to discuss the identified needs and how both parties are going to work together to support the child’s progress and achieve their goals.

Talking to the parents/carers and sharing ideas and activities that work best for the child.

Having appropriate equipment to support the child’s Learning and development. Building positive and trusting relationships with the child and parents. Providing a secure environment for the child. Taking further training.

Having regular discussions with the parents/carers about their child’s development.

Using pictures, gestures,breaking down tasks and having multiple options for a child to choose from.

Both indoor and outdoor are easily accessible.

All children have access to all activities both indoor and outdoor.

By sharing information that will help to support the child.

How do you support children when they start and leave?

Having a settling session to make the child and parent feel comfortable. Obtain as much information about the child so I can better support the child's needs. Providing a transition report to their next provider when the child is leaving so they know where the child is at.

How are you/staff trained in extra needs?

I am a stand-alone childminder and do regular webinar training.

What is your policy on compliments, complaints, concerns?

By completing a complaint form provided by the setting and sending it back to me and Ofsted. You will receive a written response within 28 days explaining how the complaint was dealt with and action to be taken.
