To be a Local Leader of Governance (LLG) you must have experience as a governor for the last five years and be on the governing body of a school that Ofsted has judged to be 'good' or 'outstanding'.
The role of the LLG is to use your skills, knowledge and experience of governance, improving school performance and ability to work with other governing bodies and other professionals. You will provide support and guidance to Chairs and governing bodies in schools other than your own. You will work as part of a team to supplement the work of the National Leaders of Governance.
You must be able to provide support for the equivalent of approximately 4-6 days per academic year (not necessarily during working hours), in addition to your role as a governor.
