The Helpline and Response Service is part of the MioCare Group, a Community Interest Company owned by Oldham Council.
The service gives customers the freedom to live independently and enjoy the comforts of their own home, safe in the knowledge that help, advice or reassurance can be provided quickly in an emergency.
How it works
You will receive a personal alarm unit that connects you to trained staff in a response centre based in Oldham.
In an emergency situation,, you can summon help by pressing a button on the unit or a small portable button that can be attached to your clothing, wrist strap, or neck cord and carried anywhere in the home. The approximate range is up to 20 metres.
When you press the alarm, the operator at the response centre can talk to you and assess the situation. The operator will then inform your contact or send assistance.
If you press the button and you are unable to respond we will dispatch a responder to your address immediately or contact your next of kin.
If you decide to be a customer of the Helpline and Response Service it is important that you update us of any changes to your personal details.
Please test your equipment every 4-6 weeks.
Helpline will never ask for your bank details over the Phone
